Brightline Workspace

An open-plan office built for flexibility, daylight, and low energy use.

Location:

Hyderabad, Telangana

Project Area:

18,000 sq ft

Plot Size:

6,000 sq ft

Completed Year:

2023

Duration:

11 months

Materials:

Glass, timber ceiling baffles, polished concrete, acoustic felt

Project Brief:

Brightline Technologies was growing fast and had outgrown its rented floor. The founders wanted an office that reflected their culture: open, collaborative and a little playful, but also calm enough for focused work.

Challenge:

Open offices can be noisy and tiring, and the building’s deep floor plates meant that people at the center would sit far from any window.

Design Approach:

Light to the core. A central atrium and glass partitions carry daylight deep into each floor. Workstations sit in bands around the edges, with meeting rooms and support spaces in the middle, so no one is stuck in a dark corner.

Outcome:

The office uses about 40 percent less energy than a comparable fit-out. The team moved in over a single weekend, and the terrace has become the most popular space in the building.
